Competition entry

The PAMP PHOTO AWARDS MILLEPIANTE PISTOIA photography competition is open to professional and amateur photographers of any age. By entering PAMP, participants automatically accept these competition rules.

Consent to data processing

By entering the competition, participants consent to and acknowledge Il Millepiante's authority to receive and review their registration details. Participants agree that personal information, including but not limited to their name, postal address, telephone number and email address, may be collected, stored and otherwise used to conduct and administer the photography competition. Participants may access, review, correct or delete personal information held by PAMP at any time by emailing info@millepiante.it.

Copyright

Winning photographs may be displayed in future touring group exhibitions or published by Il Millepiante. Each photographer retains copyright in their photographs and will be appropriately credited whenever Il Millepiante exhibits, publishes or displays their work. No copyright fees will be paid: recognition consists solely of written credit naming the photographer and photograph.

All submitted images will be shortlisted and then reviewed by PAMP's international jury, which will select the winners. The jury's decisions are final. The full name of each participant whose work is selected as a winner will also be published online.

Photograph requirements

PAMP reserves the right, at its discretion, to disqualify and remove any photograph that does not meet the following requirements, even after it has been published on the website. For each submitted photograph, the participant warrants that:

  • They are the sole copyright owner and creator of the photograph.
  • They have the right to submit the photograph to this competition.
  • The photograph does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademarks, contractual rights or other intellectual property rights, nor anyone's privacy or publicity rights.
  • Every person depicted has consented to being portrayed as shown and has the right to give that consent.

PAMP acknowledges that participants retain full copyright ownership of every photograph submitted. No monetary or financial copyright compensation is provided: recognition consists solely of written credit naming the photographer and photograph.

All participants agree that photographs submitted to the competition may be reproduced, with a named copyright credit for the photographer, and used to promote PAMP activities, including exhibitions, catalogues, calendars, videos and websites. Participants grant PAMP, Il Millepiante and therefore GENERAL TRADING SRLS, VAT number 02007730472, based at VIA MARRUOTA 147, 51016 MONTECATINI TERME, PT, the right to use the submitted photographs for those promotional activities.

No monetary or financial copyright compensation is provided: recognition consists solely of written credit naming the photographer and photograph.

Participants acknowledge that PAMP and its event partners do not accept responsibility or liability for misuse of the images.

Adjustments to brightness, contrast and colour balance are permitted, as is retouching dust spots and minor elements. Images may be sharpened before printing. Post-production techniques that could realistically be achieved in a darkroom are accepted, but judges may reject any photograph they consider excessively manipulated in a way that compromises the integrity of the original image.

Participants selected for the final stage will be asked to submit the original RAW files for the selected photographs.

PAMP does not accept photographs generated by artificial intelligence. Only photographs taken and post-produced by photographers without the use of artificial intelligence algorithms or any other form of artificial intelligence may enter.
